Happy Birthday To Teoh.

Happy birthday, Teoh. And thanks for the party :) Though not everyone of us come with a hat, but the thought counts.

I wish you to have more wisdom in whatever you do. And I also hope that God blesses you when you adapt yourself in the Australian environment. Just a short post, with best wishes for you as you are entering a new age of yours. Good luck on everything you do, bro.

Announcing My Official Photoblog :)

Well, this afternoon I just make this site.

>My new Tumblr photoblog

It's actually a random thought of me opening a Tumblr photoblog. But, over there, I will post the best of my photos taken with my camera with captions. If I am out of ideas or whatsoever, I might as well add some other elements in the post.

Well, there are some pics from this site over there, but you will see some unreleased photos of mine. Well, pictures are meant to be displayed, but timetables make me hectic to post it here. No worries. This blog will still be alive.

Do add me in Twitter or Facebook to get the latest Tumblr updates :)

Hope (Church Photography)

Photobucket

I was glad when I captured this during last night's church service. It's one of the best photos I took for this year. Yeah, it's been a year of portraits (Thanks Silviana and Diane Lew) and landscape photography.

Well, this shot was impromptu as it just happened to observe a clear view of somebody's hands being raised up to the Lord and her hands were perfectly positioned in front of the cross from my view. Thus, I quickly took a shot from the view. The results was staggering.

My inspiration came from a scene from one of Hillsong's "Hosanna" concert coverage where I saw crowds lifting up their hands to God. The song, "Hosanna" to me, is a song of hope, it was like being written by a desperate person clinging for the promise of God when his/her surroundings were full of demise.

Well, you'd been hearing about recessions, financial crisis, catastrophes and any forms of wars happening around the world. We don't have the power to change the world if we don't stand together. But for now, just keep our hopes to God. God is still in control.

Superbly Impressed (Nikkor 50mm f/1.8)

Currently blogging from Taylor's Lakeside Campus while awaiting for my closest companions (Diane, Kar Chun, Amirul, etc) to come for assignment discussion.

Saving money for a future lens makes me open up for options on what lens I should get in the future. And again, my usual target lens, the Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 is still the best choice.

Be assured that I'm currently a hobbyist in photography.

Just managed to try out the lens from a friend and classmate of mine, and I found it very impressive.

These were taken just recently when I helped out some coursemates on their IDM video presentation.

Photobucket
First shot of the day using the lens. Quite overexposed as I was trying the aperture setting above f/3.5 (f/1.8). This is Aaron.

Photobucket
Imran the Hunter! xD During the videoshooting. We acted as noisy students in a class.

Photobucket
Camera focused on Kit (left). But somehow you can see how sharp the lens focus from the previous 2 pictures.

Thanks Laura for allowing me to try out the lens. Gosh, that is one impressive worthy lens for savvy photographers. :)

Photobucket

Will be getting it soon. Hopefully =)

The 2 Films That Made China Won Us In Thomas Cup

Boy oh boy oh boy, I knew it that Malaysia lost. But what I din expect is we lost 3-0. I thought is a 3-2, with Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong killing Cai Yun- Hai Feng,  Hafiz killing Bao Chun Lai and Lee Chong Wei winning Lin Dan.

Now the results had unveiled the victor.

And surprisingly, China won all the first matches without any super strong resistance from the Malaysians. Chong Wei seemed to be intimidated by Lin Dan, as usual, TBH and KKK were being knocked out in an instant pace (what's with that 21-10 score?) and Choon Hann did not managed to return to his former glory.

THEY MUST BE CHEATING!

You can see through their Chinese movies that were not done in Malaysia

1st movie
Ip Man 2

Crap. With their long hands and fast reflexes, they use martial arts when they were playing with us! You all know that China is famous for kung fus and Shaolin temples. Yeah, this is where the Chinese team get their inner strength :)

With the fast pace of the Wing Choon martial arts, it's no doubt they never miss a thing even though they made mistakes in the court.

That explains why Lin Dan can shoot accurate shots in this clip.

Blame it on Ip Man! His Wing Choon taught them how to play badminton well. I bet they had spent thousands of yuan to watch hundred views of Ip Man 2.

2nd Movie -
Storm Warriors 2

Wanna know why? You just assume that Mr. Cloud and Mr. Wind's weapons being transformed into rackets and what you see is this Chinese pairs.

Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng

And it sounds like a Wind-Cloud combination. Wth.

And that was really surprising that our Mr. Triple K and Tan Boon Heong lost to them. But they are better than them in the ranks.

It's okay, Malaysia. There's still another Thomas Cup :) Good job, next time the coaches will apply Pencak Silat, you shall see =)

P.S - Haiz. Line is so bad it's so hard to update this post with pics.

Serenity

Photobucket

To this someone I know:
You never know how significantly beautiful you are,
as your presence provides serenity to me in this midst of stress and madness.
I should have know that you are very important to me when I was a child.
Of so many pretty faces out there, none of them can take your place here.
This I sincerely type :)

I thank God for you, I thank you for all the messages of companionship.

First Week in Lakeside Campus

Taken during last semester.

Photobucket

All I can say is this: I'm still not used to the new transition and yes, since I'm staying in the old settlement (Ridzuan and Suriamas area), it's less convenient and more troublesome when compared to studying in the old LCS campus.

1. I need to get up EARLY.
Nobody likes to get up at 6 in the morning and wait for the arrival of the buses at 7. To think positively, we all will eventually wake up earlier just to beat the traffic jam all the way to our future offices.

During the first day of college there, I actually asked the help of someone who is currently in her PLKN training to wake me up at 5 am. Surprisingly, she messaged me to wake up. Thank you, Elaine :) You deserved to be mentioned here.

2. Things are so EXPENSIVE.
As I'd expected, there are rants from my friends saying that the food is expensive even though it is normal in quality. And worse, their serving sizes are too tiny for the prices offered. I do care much about serving sizes ever since I returned from Australia.

To some students (maybe most of you), the prices of food maybe not an issue. But not all students are rich, okay? :) During your parents' age, your lunch will be like around RM 4 (food + drinks included). Today, you would be spending more than RM 10 per meal? Think about that.

For example, I bought a RM 6.00 Spaghetti with meatballs from the Sister's Popiah restaurant this morning. It's a delicious meal, but its serving size is small. Even the RM 5.50 Spaghetti Carbonara from Sunway Medan tastes as good and its serving size is as big as the RM 10 Spaghetti from Temptations

There's good news, though. Chill sells cheap food in case you're running out of money. Some of my classmates like the Nasi Lemak there, it's priced at RM 2.50.

3. INCONVENIENT PARKING
I could have take a picture on the parking space, but gosh, I had no mood to do so.

Anyway, I can describe that the college needs around 5 soccer fields of parking space to accommodate the students' cars. And I bet those who drive will tend to risk their attendance and punctuality as they will be finding parking spaces for their car. For the unlucky ones, they got the walk a long way to the classrooms.

Can't blame the college as they don't really expect such vehicle monstrosity. Besides of building a parking lot, it's better for the college to encourage students to carpool together. It's not just to ease students in finding parking spaces, carpooling reduces pollution too =)

4. "We Will Only Take You Back At 2PM"

Though the buses are punctual, I dislike the buses because most of the time I'm only allowed to go back after 2pm. Thank God I took 1 shuttle back to LCS today around 12.30 pm. You see, I have classes only for 2 hours at Wednesdays and Fridays. Meaning, I might have to stay there alone for 2-4 hours just to wait for the bus?

I miss those LCS days where I can just walk home as soon as classes finish.

In a nutshell, the PJ campus is still more convenient than ever. You can find a parking around the area easily, you can walk to the campus without thinking about shifting to a more expensive area, and you can even plan outings easily in time without worrying about the parking problems.

It doesn't mean I dislike the new Lakeside Campus. It's one good example on how interior and architecture designing works. If you want a tour, tell me. haha.

Next post will be about assorted photos that I took in Lakeside. Stay tuned.

Birthday Post - May

Happy birthday, May Ng. Though I got no chance to celebrate with you, let this post be a birthday greeting to you :) I hope you like this pic, haha, though it isn't studio style or whatsoever.

If photography can be used as a blessing for others, then people should put it into good use. So, look at the good and bright side of things 1st, before condemning something.

Hold On - With Praises and Prayers

I actually dedicate this to a special someone. :) Have faith, have a lil' bit more.

Same goes to the viewers that are hurt. Whatever your beliefs are, have faith on God and yourselves.. You're not alone.

Justin Bieber's Gonna Hit Puberty! :)

Teen sensation Justin Bieber’s going through puberty and admits his voice is starting to crack and sound a lot different.
Said Bieber: “It cracks. Like every teenage boy, I’m dealing with it and I have the best vocal coach in the world.
“Some of the notes I hit on ‘Baby’ I can’t hit anymore. We have to lower the key when I sing live.”
Meanwhile, actual 12 year-old girls went nuts just thinking about Bieber earlier this week in Australia and police were forced to cancel his show due to “mass scenes of hysteria” after 10 girls fainted.
He tweeted: “I love my fans and I am just as disappointed as everyone else with the news from this morning. I want to sing for my fans. I want to make this clear… I don’t cancel… I woke up this morning to the police canceling the show for safety reasons.”

Now, my comments on him.

Haha, time to hit puberty, Justin.

Nowadays, teenagers are going ga-ga over this 16 year old guy whose voice is still like a child. Don't get me wrong. I admire this kid in singing. Yes, he's cute, but....

How will he stand out when he hits puberty?

My prediction will be 2 - he will be like a second Usher, or he will be like another Jesse McCartney.

I rather want him to remain on his genre. That suits him, for the moment.

It's okay, Justin. Your voice will be fine, who knows you will be better with your adult voice. :) All the best.
