Zynga's Mafia Wars

It's time for a pit stop while awaiting for energy and stamina to be charged up. 


Just wanna share to you my best and most addictive Facebook game so far, Zynga's Mafia Wars. I think this app is Zynga's most active updated game ever. We have 3 stages currently in play - New York, Cuba and Moscow. Later this Christmas, MW will be having a new location to play - Bangkok. 


I bet my real Facebook friends wouldn't like the fact seeing the Body Count notices in their Home page. Sorry for that, but I can't help it. 


The best way for me, in order to level up quickly, you have to focus more on Energy and Stamina. However, when fighting, you may lose the edge to other players that are having more Attack and Defense. 


Hit points are not important in many cases, as you can recharge your HP in the Hospital. Let's just say, if you have $10M and you forgot to put them into your bank, and someone suddenly attacks you from nowhere when you're not online. If you have more hit points, that means you'll lose more money, as you keep on pumping money to your opponent until you got iced. Being iced earlier is better than losing more money. 

So, what makes a game app in Facebook fun? :)

1. It delights you. First, the game app must catch your attention and if you feel that you love it, you'll tend to send some invitations for your friends to play together. 


2. When many of your friends are playing it. Pet Society and Restaurant City are good examples around me. I remembered when I was influenced to play Bejeweled Blitz to compete with some of my Foundation coursemates during the last sem of the FICM course. Well, the best I can identify are Christine and Joanne. 


3. When the whole world plays it, like what Mafia Wars is going right now. Don't believe me? Go into the game, register, send somebody in your "Fight" list into the Hitlist/ Bounty list, and within nanoseconds, someone took the bounty you'd set.
